Motor Vehicle
Level 1 Vehicle Maintenance Repair
Duration: One year initially, leading to a second or third
year for Level 2 or 3
Entry requirements: The entry requirement is a minimum of
2 Es at GCSE in English and maths or science. Candidates should show a high degree of interest in motor vehicles and display the commitment required to complete the course. Students with relevant prior experience may gain direct entry onto the second or third year of this course.
Students will receive a through grounding in all aspects of motor vehicle mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing. This is a practical based course, which combines workshop-based training with the necessary technological theory needed for modern vehicle repair work. Workshop practice will provide an opportunity to remove, dismantle, rebuild and replace many of the vehicle components.
Afterwards: On successful completion of the Level 1 course you will be able to progress to the second year of this full time programme.
