Family Learning

These courses are designed for parents to discover new skills to enhance family life. There is no charge for these courses but places are limited so early booking is advised.

IT Essentials:

Weds 20th Feb (Parent & Child),
Weds 27th Feb – 26th March 9.30-11.30am (Parents only)

The first session is a Creative IT workshop for adult & child to attend together, followed by five further sessions for adults alone. In these sessions adults will learn use of email, internet and a word processing programme. The course will include advice on keeping your child safe when they are using the internet and use of parental controls to limit access to suitable sites. Free of charge

Thursday 28th Feb – 4th April 9.30-11.30am
 
This six week course aims to help adults put themselves in control of their money, looking at how to manage the household income, choosing a bank account, the benefits & dangers of credit cards, different ways of borrowing, how to avoid debt, benefits and the impact of earning a wage. Free of charge
