Motor Vehicle: IMI Award in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
(equivalent to 35 GCSEs at D-G grades)
This course is designed as a Pre-Apprenticeship
programme for students who wish to develop occupational knowledge and progress in the Motor Industry. There is a large theoretical element to the course and students should expect to spend half their day in the classroom.
Young Apprentice, Motor Vehicle: IMI Level 2 Certificate in Vehicle Fitting Operations
(equivalent to 3 GCSEs at A-C grades)
This qualification includes the full range of routine vehicle fitting procedures. It provides essential knowledge for students wishing to pursue a career in vehicle fitting, working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and fast fit businesses. There is a large theoretical element to the course: in their first and last terms students will spend one and a half days in the classroom; for the rest of the course they will spend half of their day in the classroom.
