Catering: Level 1 NVQ in Quick Service

(equivalent to 5 GCSEs at D-G grades)


This vocational qualification covers elements of food preparation and cooking and elements of food service.

During the first year the students will gain practical skills in our training kitchen and will learn the underpinning theory to back up their practical skills. In the second year they will become part of a team preparing and serving food for the Centre’s cafés where members of the public and college staff and students eat each lunch-time.
